| (English below) Bureau Zeezicht bedenkt en realiseert plek- en situatiegerelateerde projecten en installaties die iedere vorm en formaat kunnen aannemen, en tot stand komen door gebruik van diverse disciplines. Het werk wordt wel 'relational art' of 'community art' genoemd. Bureau Zeezicht benoemt haar werk niet, maar zoekt altijd naar de essentie van een bestaande situatie om die het uitgangspunt te maken voor een intelligent en zinvol proces, actie of ervaring. De projecten zijn altijd conceptueel. Ze worden ontwikkeld met een scherp oog en grote aandacht voor vorm en detail, resulterend in werk dat een onmiskenbare indruk achterlaat en tegelijkertijd zó kan samengaan met het echte leven dat het bijna niet meer zichtbaar is. Bureau Zeezicht is het kunstenaarsduo Irene Kromhout en Maartje Peters en is opgericht in 2001.

Bureau Zeezicht designs and realises site and situation specific projects that can take any shape or size, and are produced through various disciplines. Some might call it 'relational art' or 'community art'. Bureau Zeezicht hasn't named it's ways but always tries to make the essence of a presented situation the starting point of an intelligent and meaningful process, action or experience. The works are always conceptual. They are made with a keen eye and interest for form and detail, resulting in works that leave a distinct impression but also merge with real life to the point of invisibility. Bureau Zeezicht consists of the artists Irene Kromhout and Maartje Peters and was founded in 2001. |
